Mechanical inspection
Every vehicle undergoes a pre-listing mechanical inspection at our service facility, covering key mechanical, safety and operational systems.

Service preparation
Service work is completed before publication, and the completed checks and work are recorded against the individual vehicle.

Documents before payment
The buyer receives the Sale Contract, REGO documentation, PPSR report and vehicle-specific Inspection and Service Report for review.
Vehicle-specific documentation
Inspection and service findings recorded in writing.
A CARS.COM PTY LTD – Vehicle Inspection and Service Report is prepared for the individual vehicle. It records the completed checks, relevant observations and service work and is supplied with the pre-payment purchase documents.
Pre-listing preparation
Inspection and service take place before the vehicle is approved for publication.
Vehicle-specific report
The report relates to the selected vehicle rather than being a generic marketplace statement.
Review before payment
The report is supplied together with the Sale Contract, REGO documentation and PPSR report.
Buyer protection
Three separate protections, explained clearly.
Delivery, post-delivery inspection and warranty coverage are separate parts of the purchase process and are never presented as the same protection.
Delivery included
Delivery to eligible addresses across mainland Australia and Tasmania is included in the advertised vehicle price.
10-day inspection period
Every buyer receives a separate 10-day period after delivery to confirm that the vehicle matches its agreed description.
6-month / 10,000 km warranty
Eligible vehicles include complimentary coverage for up to 6 months or 10,000 km from delivery, whichever occurs first, subject to the applicable Warranty Terms.
